 We are now accepting applications for our 2009 - 2010 Children of the World tour!  This tour begins in August with a month of intensive training.  Please read below for a description of the opportunities available.

 

Team Leaders

World Help is seeking a married couple who, under the supervision of the Director of Children of the World, will be responsible for the administration and care of the Children of the World International Children’s Choir during a 10-month tour of the United States. This position is full- time and requires extensive travel. Get paid to travel extensively around the United States and invest in the lives of others from various churches and schools!

Specific Duties:
• Caring for the welfare of the children
• Communication with churches/schools before concert dates
• Directing the children during concerts
• Managing the staff
• Speaking from stage during concerts
• Ensuring the safe travel of the team

Qualifications:
• Strong leadership skills a must
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• A strong desire to work with children
• A heart for missions and ministry
• The ability to build relationships for ongoing partnerships
• Trusted to represent World Help in all that you do
• Administrative skills

• Ability to speak in front of an audience
• Bachelor’s degree is desirable but not required

Sound Engineers/Road Crew

World Help is seeking Sound Engineers and Road Crew who, under the supervision of the Children of the World Team Leaders, will be responsible for the set up and running of sound and the transportation of the choir while on a 10-month tour. You will have the privilege to work along side Christian leaders and children from around the world. This is a paid, full-time position and requires extensive travel. Sound experience is a plus.

Specific Duties:
• Responsible for the set up, maintenance and operation of sound system for the Children of the World International Children’s Choir
• Driving a bus or RV to concert locations
• Care of vehicles
• Helping the Team Leaders ensure the welfare of the children

Qualifications:
• Ability to set up and operate a sound system
• Above average driving skills
• Must have or be willing to obtain a CDL class C
• High school education or equivalent
• A heart for missions
• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to work well with others
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more

Gift Processing Coordinator

World Help is seeking a full-time Gift Processing Coordinator, who under the direction of the Director of Gift Processing will be responsible for data entry and other administrative duties.

Specific Duties:  Responsible for entering incoming data into database, handling phone calls from donors, sorting and processing mail, preparing incoming funds for deposit as well as assisting Gift Processing department with other daily tasks as needed.

Qualifications:  A detail oriented person who can communicate effectively with coworkers and donors.  Previous data entry experience preferred.  Professional and responsible person who can be trusted to represent the ministry in all that they do.  Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook needed.  High school education required.

 

Scheduling Coordinator

 

The Scheduling Coordinator works with the Lead Generator to schedule the Children of the World Choir in churches and schools throughout the U.S.  This position is full-time and reports to the Scheduling Team Leader.
Specific Duties: Responsible for scheduling the Children of the World Choir in churches and Christian schools by following up on contacts made by the Lead Generator.  These contacts are made via telephone or e-mail from our headquarters in Forest, VA.  The Coordinator is accountable for keeping accurate records of calls, concerts, and potential concerts.  Goals will be set and incentives are offered.
Qualifications: Sales/customer service experience required, good communication skills and phone experience preferred; ability to multitask and work as a team. Candidate should have computer experience and be familiar with Microsoft Office.  Database experience preferred. Goal oriented; self-starter; highly motivated; high energy; strong work ethic.

 

Child Profile Writer

World Help is seeking a Child Profile Writer whose main responsibility will be writing biographies for children in the sponsorship program.  This position is full-time and reports to the Director of Child Sponsorship.

Specific Duties:  Writer will use information provided by our international partners to create a compelling child profile.  Will also proof read and edit biographies written by other Child Profile Writers and prepare profiles to be sent out for sponsorship.

Other duties may include database updating, as well as assisting the Child Sponsorship Department as needs arise.

Qualifications:  A creative and detail oriented person, with writing, proofing and editing experience.   An ideal candidate is someone who can work within strict deadlines and has the ability to work with little variation in given tasks throughout the week.  The candidate should have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Database experience is preferred but not required.
