World Help is so thankful for the friends and supporters who have joined us this past year to make a difference around the world. Because of you, in the driest parts of Africa, children have water. Out of the darkest slums of India, orphans have warm beds to call their own. Through the winding village roads in the remote areas of Guatemala, babies no longer suffer from malnutrition.
Each person you helped has a unique story. But in each one resounds the same theme: life-changing hope. Every child’s face is different, but the look of joy on all of them is unmistakable. You are helping write these stories every day.
Here is the impact your gifts to World Help have made in 2009: $64 million of humanitarian aid was distributed around the world
300,000 people were fed regular meals at our feeding centers
4,756 new child sponsors were added
8 new Homes of Hope were built
32 clean water wells were drilled, delivering clean water to over 32,000 people
10 Forgotton Children Centers, a vocational center, and a sports center were maintained
2,000 former child soldiers received job training at out vocational center
3,000 churches were planted, impacting 300,000 people
78,498 Bibles were distributed
That totals 3.6 million lives impacted in 2009!
Your gifts continue to give hope to millions of desperately needy people around the world. And we are very much aware that World Help cannot do what we do without you.
You greatly impacted the world in 2009. Our prayer is that in 2010 we will leave an even greater impact.
