No One Should Go Hungry for Christmas

Do you know a starving child?

Have you ever held a starving child?

Have you ever looked into the eyes of a starving child?

Most of us can say “no” to these questions. But sadly, I must answer “yes.” I can tell you that there is nothing more heart-wrenching than holding a child that is close to death, a child that is literally skin and bones, knowing there is nothing you can do, and praying for a miracle!

Every 5 seconds, a child dies from hunger. That’s 16,000 children every single day.

It’s an unfathomable number and an overwhelming challenge. But we’ve got to start somewhere . . . one child at a time!

World Help has traveled the world and witnessed firsthand the horrendous conditions many children must endure . . . they know no different. In Guatemala, I visited a dump site and watched as children rummaged through smoking trash, filth, and stench, searching for food. They were also looking for broken glass to exchange at the end of the day for a single quarter to buy whatever food they could for their families. Can you imagine being that desperate for food?

These children need our help. Every boy and girl deserves a chance to live!

As we celebrate Christmas with our families with more food and leftovers than we could ever eat, so many families around the world aren’t celebrating, but mourning the death of a child, or watching as their children slowly starve to death!

Please help me show the true meaning of Christmas this year. Please help me stop hunger, one child at a time!

For only 80¢ a day, you can feed one starving child. That’s only $24 a month, or $288 a year!

“Blessed are those who are generous because they feed the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).

Your gift today, as well as gifts from our many friends, can provide food to help save a child’s life.
